ABU DAC HND, ND, AND Pre-ND Admission Form 2020/2021
This is to inform the general public that application forms for admissions into Higher National Diploma (HND), National Diploma (ND), Pre-National Diploma (Pre-ND) and Certificates Programmes offered by the Division of Agricultural Colleges (DAC), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU), are now on sale.
The courses offered in the three Colleges under ABU DAC are as follows:

ABU DAC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR HND, ND, PRE-ND, AND CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES
HIgher Nation Diploma Requirements
All candidates wishing to apply for any of the Higher National Diploma (HND) courses should have the National Diploma with at least Lower Credit/Merit pass in any relevant accredited Agricultural programmes, which also includes a minimum of one (1) year working experience after graduation.
Candidates must also have credit passes in the relevant five subjects including: Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry/Physics, Agricultural Science/Biology at WAEC, (GCE), NECO and NABTEB. The five credit passes are pre-requisites for the admission into the National Diploma programmes.
Note: Candidates with a pass at National Diploma will not be considered for admission into Higher Diploma programmes of DAC except with at least 3 years of cognate experience after graduation. However, graduate of the Division of Agricultural Colleges ABU with a pass grade need a minimum of 2 years cognate experience after graduation before he or she will be considered for admission into higher National Diploma programmes of the DAC
National Diploma Requirements
Entry requirements into the National Diploma courses must be through JAMB, the cut-off point into the programmes is normally determined at every year’s JAMB policy meeting. Candidates must have credit passes in English Language and Mathematics as stipulated by the National Policy on Education. Other relevant credits subjects at WAEC ordinary level, NECO, NABTEB, or Teachers Grade II at not more than two sittings or a combination of any of the two e.g. WAEC plus NECO. The 5 subjects for various courses are not strictly the same and vary as follows:
- Agricultural Technology: Credit level passes in 5 subjects that must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any other from the following: Geography, Economics and Physics.
- Agricultural and Bio-environmental Engineering Technology Programme: Credits level passes in 5 subjects that must include English Language and Mathematics, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science and any other one from Chemistry/Geography/Economics.
- Home and Rural Economics Programme: Credit level passes in 5 subjects that must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science/Food & Nutrition/Home Management and any other from the following: Geography, Economics, Religious Knowledge, Nigerian Languages.
- Animal Health and Production Technology: Credit level passes in 5 subjects that must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any other from the following: Geography, Economics and Physics.
- Fisheries Technology: Credit level passes in 5 subjects that must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any other from the following: Geography, Economics and Physics.
- Horticulture and Landscape Technology: Credit level passes in 5 subjects that must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any other from the following: Geography, Economics and Physics.
ABU DAC PRE-NATIONAL DIPLOMA/REMEDIAL (SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY)
Candidates wishing to apply for Pre-ND must have at least passes in four relevant subjects at O’ Level in WASC/GCE/NECO or NABTEB. The Pre-ND programme is only to prepare the candidate to pass UTME examination and O’ level certificate.
ABU DAC CERTIFICATE COURSES
Candidates wishing to apply for Certificate Course must have a minimum of two non-credit passes in any of the science subjects at WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or both.
How to apply for ABU DAC Admission
Application forms are obtainable on payment of two thousand five hundred Naira (₦2,500.00) only from the following Banks or you can use any debit card (MasterCard, Verve, Visa) for any bank to make payment without going to any Bank after generating Transaction ID and RRR:

After payment, login to dac.abu.edu.ng with your username and password to continue with your registration. Otherwise, your admission will not be processed.
