Nursing is a health-care profession providing physical and emotional care to the sick and disabled and promoting health in all individuals through activities including research, health education, and patient consultation.

Nursing includes providing physical and emotional care, promoting comfort, serving as patient advocates, assisting in rehabilitative efforts, teaching self-care and health promotion activities, and administering treatments prescribed by a licensed physician or doctor.

A person who studied Nursing is called a Nurse.

Nursing is one of the highly respected professions in Nigeria, the rush for the course by many candidates is impressive.

Nursing has also become easy nowadays because of some online nursing schools offering online nursing courses. You can register for any online nursing courses and take the course at your convenient time.

You can become a nurse in two ways in Nigeria

Registered Nurse: This is when you apply to any school of nursing for a three years programme, and upon completion, he/she would be subjected to an external exam conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery council of Nigeria. Passing this exam would make him a registered nurse.

General Admission requirements for Nursing

In order to gain admission into any University to study nursing, you must have at least five (5) Credits at ‘O’ Level in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. This must not be more than two (2) sittings.

Jamb subject combination for Nursing: English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics.

Also one of the important admission requirements is that you must score at least 200 in JAMB.

School Of Nursing Fees

School fees are not static. They are subjects to review. Therefore, I may not be able to give you an accurate fee, but you can get that from the school. For example, based on my finding the LUTH nursing school fees for 2021/2022 session is #250,000 and the fee of other nursing schools are listed below, this has changed over session.
