How to gain admission into University of Nigeria (UNN)
There are requirements you must meet for you to secure admission into the University of Nigeria (UNN) and when choosing the school in your UTME form, you must put some thinking. A few of those things you must think about for you to gain admission into UNN are:
- The course of study
- The cut-off mark for the course
- Your O’level results
The competitiveness of some courses makes them a no-go area for candidates who don’t have the requirements to study them.

Out of the courses listed above, some are competitive why some are easy to be offered admission to study. For you to know those courses, there is a need for me to discuss the cut off mark for the courses.
UNN cut off mark depends majorly on the decision of the school management. The minimum mark for the school is 180 for all courses. However, if you want to study one of the most competitive course at UNN, I will advise you to aim at scoring 240 and above in your UTME.
O’level result
You must have a minimum of five O’level credit passes at one sitting. For you to be on a safe side, you must atleast have C4 in relevant subjects which must include English Language and Mathematics.
Lastly, passing Post-UTME excellently will make you dream come through after satifying other requirements. And that dream is to gain admission into UNN,
Important Notice From UNN Admission Portal
To become a student of UNN, one has to meet the following General Entry Requirements;
- Age Limit: No person under the age of sixteen (16) years may be admitted to the University as a student.
- Admission Requirements: University of Nigeria, Nsukka requires all candidates applying for admission into any of its courses to possess five credit O’level passes which must include a credit pass in English Language and a Science subject in not more than two sittings.
Entry requirement for Direct Entry must include UTME requirement for that particular course.
