Unijos School Fee Structure 2023/2024

The Management of the University of Jos (Unijos) wishes to inform Students of the University, Parents and members of the public that the new School Charges structure previously approved by the University has been revised downward.

Management considered the feedback it received from its wide consultations and identified specific additional charges for which payment is being modified to be made only as applicable. Consequently, Management resolved that the Normal N160,000 basic School Charges earlier approved should be reduced to N110,000 while additional Charges as they affect each programme of study will be applied as follows:

Only final-year students who have completed their studies and are on the Graduating List will pay the N25,000 Convocation charges.

Only Students whose departments carry out functional laboratory/workshop/studio work must pay the N30,000 charges for those services.

The list of Departments whose students are required to pay the laboratory/workshop/studio charges is as follows:

  • All Programmes in the College of Health Sciences
  • All Programmes in the Faculty of Agricultural Science
  • All Programmes in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • All Programmes in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
  • All Programmes in the Faculty of Engineering
  • All Department/Programmes in the Faculty of Natural Sciences except the Department of Mathematics
  • Building & Urban and Regional Planning (URP) in Environmental Sciences
  • Linguistics in the Faculty of Arts
  • Psychology and Economics in the Faculty of Social Sciences
  • All programmes in the Department of Science and Technology Education

All Departments and Faculties are hereby directed to stop receiving payments for charges that are already captured in the centrally approved School Charges structure

Only Students offering General Studies (GST) must pay GST charges.

Unijos School Fees Instalment Payment

A flexible payment structure has been approved, allowing both returning and new students to pay in two instalments, depending on their usage of university facilities and the courses they offer.

Returning Students (Without GST/Lab/Studio/Workshop)

  • First Installment: ₦95,000.00
  • Second Installment: ₦10,000.00
  • Total: ₦105,000.00

Returning Students (With GST, without Lab/Studio/Workshop)

  • First Installment: ₦100,000.00
  • Second Installment: ₦10,000.00
  • Total: ₦110,000.00

Returning Students (Without GST, with Lab/Studio/Workshop)

  • First Installment: ₦95,000.00
  • Second Installment: ₦35,000.00
  • Total: ₦130,000.00

Returning Students (With GST/Lab/Studio/Workshop)

  • First Installment: ₦100,000.00
  • Second Installment: ₦35,000.00
  • Total: ₦135,000.00

New Students (With GST and Without Lab/Studio/Workshop)

  • First Installment: ₦130,000.00
  • Second Installment: ₦10,000.00
  • Total: ₦140,000.00

New Students (With GST/Lab/Studio/Workshop)

  • First Installment: ₦130,000.00
  • Second Installment: ₦35,000.00
  • Total: ₦165,000.00
