Art Courses To Study Without Literature In English

On this page, I want to provide answers to questions on Art courses without literature in English. I know some art students have D7, E8 or even F9 in Literature in English and they are eager to know the courses they can study without Literature in English.

I have tried to make a table of art courses you can study in Nigerian Universities without worrying with your grade in Literature in English.

List of Art courses without Literature in English is given in the table below. The table is for the art courses you can study with pass or fail in Literature and their admission requirements for you to be sure that the information is authentic.

Kindly note that some schools accept a credit pass in Literature, so I included the school below the O’level requirements.

Science subject.

Five (5) SSC credit passes toinclude English Languageand one (1) of the following

subjects, Religious Studies,

Geography, Economics and

CRS Two (2) ‘A’ levelpasses/NCE to includeCRS/Religious Studies Five (5) SSC credit passes inEnglish Language, CRS andthree (3) other relevant subjects.
FINE ARTS/FINE ANDAPPLIED ARTS (i) Two (2) ‘A’ levelpasses in Arts orFine Arts and any other subject.

(ii) ND, upper credit

HND, lower credit from recognized institutions.

Five (5) SSC credit passesto include EnglishLanguage and Fine Arts.
FRENCH  Two (2) ‘A’ level passesincluding French andone (1) other Arts subject. Five (5) SSC credit passesincluding French andEnglish Language plus one other Arts subject.

Note: UI, BSU,DELSU, UNICAL requires credit pass literature in English

HAUSA Two (2) A’ levelpasses in Hausa and any other relevant subjects. Five (5) SSC credit passesto include EnglishLanguage and Hausa.
HISTORY Two (2) ‘A’ level passesin History and anyother related subjects. Five (5) SSC credit passes toinclude History and EnglishLanguage.
HISTORY ANDINTERNATIONAL STUDIES Two (2) ‘A’ levelpasses/NCE (uppercredit) in History/

Government and any other related subject.

Five (5) SSC credit passes toinclude English Language,Geography,

Government/History

IGBO, AFRICAN AND ASIAN STUDIES (i) Two (2) ‘A’ levelpasses in Igbo andone

(2)Arts/Social

Sciences subject.

(ii) NCE in Igbo and one

Arts subject.

Five (5) SSC credit passes toinclude Igbo, EnglishLanguage and any other

Arts subject.

Islamic Studies Two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include IS. Five (5) SSC credit passes toinclude English Languageand Islamic Studies or

Arabic and any three (3) relevant subjects.

LINGUISTICS/LINGUISTICS ANDCOMMUNICATION STUDIES  Two (2) ‘A’ level passesor NCE to include anyLanguage, preferably an African Language. Five (5) SSC credit passesincluding English LanguageNote: BSU and DELSU requires credit pass in literature in English
Music Two (2) ‘A’ levelpasses to includeMusic. Five (5) SSC credit passesincluding Music and EnglishLanguage.

UNIJOS requires Literature in English

Philosophy Any two (2) ‘A’ level passes. Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English language and four (4) other relevant subjects.FED-LAFIA requires credit pass in Literature in English
RELIGIOUS STUDIES Two (2) ‘A’ levelsubjects to include Religious Studies(CRS/IS). Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language and CRS/IS.

FULFULDE
CRIMINOLOGY AND SECURITYSTUDIES (i) Two (2)‘A’ levelpasses inGovernment,

Sociology,

Economics, Geography, Civics, History

and any other:

Hausa or IS, IJMB

with nine (9)

points in the above subjects.

(ii) A recognized first

Degree from any

Nigerian or

Foreign University

Five (5) ‘O’ level creditpasses or equivalentincluding English Language,

Mathematics, Economics,

and any two (2) Arts or

Social Sciences, History,

Civics or Geography at not

more than two (2) sittings.
