The management of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUSHO) has released the cut-off mark for the 2021/2022 academic session admission exercise. This is one of the eligibility criteria to participate in the FUSHO Post UTME screening for all courses offered in the school.
The Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo is a world class specialized University that will train and produce high quality healthcare professionals that will contribute to the development of the health sector in Nigeria, and the University will be equipped with state of the art equipment for research and teaching. It will be the first of its kind to be established by the Federal Government after realizing that the number of healthcare professionals in the country is grossly inadequate for the populace.
It has been estimated that it will take the country 120 years to produce the number of doctors required to meet the needs of the nation based on the available universities offering medicine in Nigeria. Therefore, by establishing the University the country will be heading towards solving its healthcare challenges within a few years. The MISSION of Federal University of Health Sciences is: “To build capacity of healthcare professionals through integrated medical education, professional skills and research providing access to high quality healthcare services”
FUSHO Cut Off Mark
The PUTME screening exercise is meant for candidates who have fulfilled the following condition
- Have a minimum score of 200 at the 2020 JAMB exams in the relevant subjects
The above condition implies that fusho cut off mark is 200.
The University’s cut-off point for MBBS for candidates who sat for 2021 JAMB examination is 230, while those for the 2022 JAMB examination is 240.
The departmental cut off mark will be released once the screening exercise has been conducted. And it is this minimum score that the admission into the school be based on.
