Tips to pass IELTS

First, there’s a one on one speaking test where you are asked questions about yourself, then random questions, then given a topic to talk about briefly.

Then on the day of your exam, you first have the listening test where four different tapes are played and you are expected to answer some questions.

Furthermore, the comprehension passages, about 3 of them. Not like the everyday passages and you should read btw the lines and think well before you answer.

Lastly, you have the writing section where you will be given a chart of any type to interpret like write out the info represented on the given chart and then another which contains a topic you are to write on.

Below is a clue from someone who has written and ace IELTS test:

“The listening part was the easiest. I think I had just one question I didn’t answer because I got distracted. I got an 8.5 in that section. Just keep calm, listen and answer as you go. The easiest part is the answers are given accordingly; they don’t give answer to number 5 before number 3. So just take it one step at a time, don’t let your mind wander even for one second. Don’t panic, listen and don’t be too fast to write down your answer because most times they make corrections.

For the speaking test, be confident and elaborate on questions asked. You will be given a topic to talk about too. Time will be given to you to think about d topic. On the comprehension passage, if you had practiced previously with past questions, you will get d scope of how questions are asked and how to answer.

On the writing part, yes people tend to score low because in my own opinion, the time isn’t enough to think and structure your thoughts.  In all, just keep calm, think well, concentrate, don’t panic and you will be fine. All d best.”
