According to a statement issued and signed by the Director, Examinations Board, the sales of the forms will commence has commenced, adding that late registration scheduled will be announced soon. It was also stated that this year’s screening test would be ONLY Computer Based Test (CBT).
Latest Update: The registration has already commenced and will end on Friday, 5th May, 2023. The Entrance Examination will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) only from Tuesday, 30th May to 2nd June, 2023, at various designated CBT Centres across the State. Only Primary Six pupils of both Public and Private Schools are eligible for the test, and the Registration Fee is N10,000 only. Late registration will attract an additional penalty of N5,000 only.
The Lagos State Examination Board has commenced the sale of forms for admission into the 16 State Model Colleges/Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools with boarding facilities for the year 2023/2024 academic session. Eligible candidates should visit the Accounts Department of the Board for payment details.
The registration form will cost N10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira), and late registration will cost of N15,000 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) each.
The entrance examination date for Lagos State Model Colleges will be held at the ICT room of the board on a date that will be announced.
According to the statement released when the sales of form came out, the successful candidates would be offered admission into any of the sixteen (16) Model Colleges or Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools irrespective of the first or second choice indicated on their forms.

The Lagos State Examination Board has commenced the sale of forms for admission into the 16 State Model Colleges/Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools with boarding facilities for the year 2023/2024 academic session.
According to a release by the Director of the Board, Mr. Supo Gbadegesin, a screening test will be conducted for all applicants seeking admission into JSS1 in any of the 16 Model Colleges in the State.
He explained that the Screening Test is based only Computer-Based Testing (CBT) versions, adding that any candidate that passes the test and meets the required cut-off marks would be offered admission irrespective of his/her first or second choice of schools.
Gbadegesin stressed that only Primary Six pupils who will attain the ages of 10 and 11 years by June 2023 in both Public and Private Primary Schools are eligible to participate in the Screening Test.
In line with the State Government’s Revenue Policy, payment should be made through the Central Billing System. A copy of the bank teller showing payment should also be returned to the Accounts Department of the Board for validation of payment and issuance of an official receipt.
It, therefore, implored parents and guardians of interested candidates, Headteachers, Proprietors and Proprietresses of schools to contact the Accounts Department of the Lagos State Examinations Board for the payment N10,000 for registration and collection of forms.A copy of the bank teller showing payment should be returned to Accounts Department of the Board for validation of payment and issuance of an official receipt.
