Medical Courses in Nigeria | All you need to Know

Medical courses in Nigeria fall under faculty of health science in some Universities in Nigeria. So in this article, I can use them interchangeably since they mean the same thing, i.e., health science courses or medical courses.

Medical Science is the science that deals with health maintenance, prevention, and treatment of disease. A Medical Scientist is a person who studies disease processes and how to prevent and treat them.

One of the most lucrative with high employability rate in Nigeria is the health science courses. The most graduate who studied the course is always 80% sure of being employed. The salary is relatively better when compared with another field of study in the country.

However, to gain admission to study any of the health science courses in Nigeria is not easy. The reason is that the field is very competitive. To be sure of a place in the university to study medical courses in Nigeria, you must have five credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Also, you must score at least 200 in JAMB to stand a chance of gaining admission.

It is therefore essential that anyone studying any of the courses in Medical Sciences take seriously such a course.
