Nigerian Maritime University Courses And Admission Requirements

The Nigerian Maritime University (NMU) located at Okerenkoko with its takeoff campus at Kurutie Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State is established and owned by the Federal Government of Nigeria, and has been granted approval by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to commence undergraduate degree programmes effective from the 2017/2018 academic session.
NUC has officially approved that National Maritime University Okerenkoko, Delta State to commence undergraduate academic activities in Transport, Engineering and Environmental Management faculties.
Nigerian Maritime University Courses and Admission Requirements
Officially Nigerian Maritime University offers 13 courses for now and the courses include:
The Faculty of Transport
This faculty has four departments that include
- Nautical Science
- Transport Logistics Management
- Marine Economics and Finance
- Port Management
B.Sc. Nautical Science
Five credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry Biology and Geography
JAMB Subject Combination: English Language, and three of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology
B.Sc. Transport logistics Management, B.Sc. Marine Economics and Finance, and B.Sc. Port Management
Five credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and one other social science subject
JAMB Subject: English Language, Mathematics, Economics and one other social science subject

The Faculty of Engineering
It has five departments which include:
- Marine Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Petroleum and Gas Engineering
Five credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics Chemistry and Biology
JAMB subject: English Language, Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry and Biology
The Faculty of Environmental Management
It has four departments which include:
- Environmental Management and Pollution
- Meteorology and Climate Change
- Fisheries and Aquaculture
- Marine Geology
B.Sc. Environmental Management and Pollution Control, B.Sc. Meteorology and Climate Change
Five credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other social science subjects or one social science subject and any other subject

Nigerian Maritime University School Fees
Fresh students: School fee is N51,500, accomodation (N90,000), hostel maintenance (N20,000)
Returning students: School fee is N40,500, accomodation (N90,000), hostel maintenance (N20,000)

Engenering but mathematics was excluded from my jamb course combination due to some mistakes and the subjects there are physics, chemistry, biology and English, please sir I want to know if they is still any hope of me having that course. I got 8 credits in my ssce result. Yeah including mathematics, physics, chemistry biology, English, geography, civic, and economics so sir please I don’t no if I can still sturdy that course with this jamb subject combinations.

2) Is Economics offered in this school ? b/c I found out that Marine Economics and Finance is for science students only because of (Chemistry, Physics etc)

Good day Sir, I am Ibrahim Abdulsemiu Olarewaju from Kwara State. I have aggregate score of 206 in my UTME subjects, Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry & Physics. I equally have 8 credits in my SSCE results including Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Biology, Civic Education & Animal Husbandry.
