The college presently has five departments and offered seven courses. The Departments are: Civil Engineering, Electrical and Information Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering and Chemical Engineering. The list of courses in college of engineering is:

Covenant University General Admission Requirements

Senior Secondar School Certificate, SSCE requirements

The minimum entry requirements for admission into Covenant University are credit level passes in five (5) subjects at the SSCE/GCE O’Level/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent, obtained at not more than two (2) sittings. The subjects passed must include English Language and Mathematics. Candidates are also to note that there are other requirements that may be specific to a College and/or a Department.

JAMB PREREQUISITE

Candidates applying to Covenant University are required to sit for the UTME examination of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and attain the prescribed cut-off mark. Applicants are strongly advised to ensure that their UTME subject combination qualifies them for their chosen programme. Any candidate desiring to apply for a change of course after filling the forms must make their application to JAMB.

Sociology: Duration: 4 years,  Degree: B.Sc. Requirements: Candidates must possess credit pass in five (5)  subjects including Mathematics, English Language and any three (3) Social Science, Commercial or Arts  Subjects.

JAMB Subject Combination: English Language and any three (3) of the following: Economics, Commerce, Government, Geography, Civic Education, History, Christian Religious Knowledge, Literature-in-English and Mathematics.

Mass Communication: Duration: 4 years,  Degree: B.Sc. Requirements: With options in Journalism and Online Mass Communication and Broadcast. (4 years). Candidates must  possess credit pass in five (5)  subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Literature-in-English and any other two (2) Subjects.)

JAMB Subject Combination: English Language, Literature-in-English and any other two Arts or Social Science Subjects.

Marketing: Duration: 4 years, Degree: B.Sc. Requirements: Candidates must possess credit pass in five (5)  subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Economics and any two (2) Social science, Commercial or Science Subjects.

JAMB Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other subject.

Industrial Relation and Human Resource Management: Candidates must possess credit pass in five (5) subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Economics and any two (2) Social science, Commercial or Science Subjects.

JAMB Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other subject.

Economics: Candidates must possess credit pass in five (5) subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Economics and any two (2) Subjects.

JAMB Subject Combination: English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other Social Science Subject

Business Administration: Candidates must possess credit pass in five (5)  subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Economics and any two (2) Social science, Commercial or Science Subjects.)

Good morning Sir, I wanted to ask if I can gain admission to Covenant University and get admitted to the Department of Economics and do a B.Sc in Economics but someone told me that I need to do a Science subject such as Biology, Health/General Science, Food and Nutrition Science, Agricultural Science, Physics and Chemistry in WAEC before I get admitted to any of the departments in Covenant University. I did English Language, Mathematics, Civic Education, Data Processing, Geography, Government, Economics, Literature-in-English and Financial Accounting in WAEC. And I am planning to do Mathematics, English, Economics and Geography in JAMB. I could not do Biology in WAEC because in SS2, I had to choose between Biology and Economics, so I chose Economics. So is it possible for me to gain admission into Covenant University?

        1. The person is correct. However, try to visit the school admission office for proper guidiance, perhaps, there may be some special consideration.

    1. Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language,Economics, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
      UTME combination: English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry.
      You can still visit the admission office of the school for confirmation.
