LASU Point Grading System For PUTME Screening
The LASU grading system for the Post UTME screening has been released by the management for the 2022/2023 admission exercise.
The Screening of Candidate(s) will be based on Point Grading System, using the UTME Score and SSCE (or equivalent) grades in Five (5) BEST RELEVANT subjects to candidate’s choice of course
- The relevant subjects are obtainable from JAMB brochure available online at www.jamb.gov.ng or JAMB Ibass ebrochure
- Candidates are advised to visit JAMB website to study the O’ Level subject requirements for their course of choice before participating in the online Admission Screening
LASU Point Grading System
The Point grading system is as follows:
OLEVEL SSCE (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) GRADING POINTS
Grade | Point |
A1 | 10 |
A2 (B2) | 9 |
A3 (B3) | 8 |
C4 | 7 |
C5 | 6 |
C6 | 5 |
TOTAL OBTAINABLE 50 %
JAMB grading point is also 50%. This means whatever you score is divided by 400 and then multiplied by 50. For example, if you score 250 in JAMB, it will then be (250/400)*50 = 31.25%
Also, if you want to study Medicine and surgery, you must have credit passes in Math, English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. So, let’s say you had A1 in Math, B3 in English, B2 in physics, B3 in chemistry, and B2 in biology; your SSCE point will be (10+8+9+8+9 = 44%).
So, your total grading point in LASU screening will be 31.25% in JAMB + 44% in O’level = 75.25%
