JAMB Says Daily Part-Time Programs Is Fraud
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) through its X handle responded to a student who was seeking information on JAMB regularization for part-time students. Below is the question asked by the student.
“Good day sir/ma … Concerning the daily part-time program… I already finished the program at Lagos State Polytechnic. Which we were told to do regularization so we could proceed further to HND. Since past months now we’ve not seen admission and hope this message”
In their response, the body picked the word “daily part-time’’ in the question and ensured it clarified that there should be nothing like it. It was made clear that it is only full-time that is allowed to do a daily program while part-time are allowed to do weekend programs. Read the details below.
“Daily Part-Time program is nothing but fraud. Part-time programs are designed for a particular set of people who do not have time to attend regular programs and is typically run by weekends or a particular period like Friday evening while regular programs run daily Monday to Friday even Saturday in rare cases. The question is how would an institution be running a regular program as part-time especially where, such program is not known to the regulators? DPT program is void and will not be condoned under whatever guard.”
My advice to students is that you should do away with any program that is not regularized by JAMB. The regularization process is a way of authenticating any admission being offered to you by any institution in Nigeria. And if your admission is not authenticated, you are likely given fake admission which is not recognized by JAMB.
