The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) released the 2024 UTME result today, April 29, 2024. All candidates who participated in the examination can now check below on how to check their results on the phone or through the JAMB E-facility portal. Also, the links to check your score are given below. Also, the board announced that out of the 1.8 million results released, 1.4 million scored below 200.
As explained in one of my articles, the results took some days before they were released to give JAMB some time to screen the results for fraudulent activities that were being identified in the process, like multiple registrations, impersonation, and the like. So they are fishing them out.
How to Check JAMB Result on Mobile Phone
To check the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result, all a candidate needs to do is simply send “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number that he/she had used for registration, and the result will be returned as the text message. The result would be immediately replied to as an SMS or between 10-30 minutes. You can start checking it tomorrow, April 30, 2024. Have a minimum of N50 on your SIM. If you are absent or your result is under processing, you will receive “absent” or “under processing.”
Access JAMB UTME Result Using Registration Number
Another way to access your score is to log in to the portal by following the steps below. However, this medium is not available for now.
- Login to the JAMB portal https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/
- Enter your registration number or Mobile Number
- Click on “Check My Result”

I Sent Result to 55019/66019 But no Reply
- Ensure you use the phone number you used when you registered for JAMB (UTME); otherwise, JAMB will not send the results to you.
- Secondly, the portal might be busy due to high traffic, so sending the message at midnight is advisable.
- Ensure you have credit on your phone. If you have not been charged, you should just give it some time. Most of the time, this problem is caused by the network.
- If you have been charged but didn’t receive your UTME result, you should ensure your phone number is not on Do Not Disturb (DND). You can also access it by using the JAMB result checker portal.
Please note that if your result is under investigation, you will receive “verification investigation,” “under investigation,” or “alleged infraction.”
