Admission Requirements

All Post Basic programmes must meet the same entry requirement as for Basic programmes.

Basic Nursing and Basic Midwifery: The current approved entry requirement is five (5) O’level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at not more than two (2) sittings from either the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or National Examination Council (NECO).

Any student with foreign examination board result(s) is expected to submit an evaluation report or equivalent grading from the Federal Ministry of Education along with the result. NABTEB is currently not acceptable.

Note: Acceptable Age range for admission into Basic Nursing and Basic Midwifery training programme is 18 – 35years as at the time of indexing.

The Kogi State College of Nursing and Midwifery (KGSCNM) Obangede Admission form for the 2023/2024 academic session is out. The management of the Kogi State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Obangede (KGNCNMOBANGEDE) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the school.

Benue state school of nursing form 2021/2022 is out for candidates who wants to seek admission into the school

This is to inform candidates and the general public that the sales of admission form into the Benue State School of Nursing Makurdi for the 2021/2022 academic session is out for purchase. Interested candidates should visit the State Ministry of Health and Human Services located at Benue state.

Yearly, the nursing school in Nigeria does advertise application forms for admission into basic nursing programs. Some of these forms for federal and state schools are now available. The schools are accepting applications from qualified students for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Dental Technologists fill orders from dentists for a variety of dental appliances. You’ll work with sophisticated equipment and a broad range of materials to create tooth replacements that are realistic and aesthetically pleasing, as well as functional.

Dental Technologists using the dentists’ detailed written directions and molds of the patient’s teeth or oral soft tissues, makes the following items:

• Full dentures for patients who are missing all of their teeth
• Removable partial dentures or fixed bridges for those who are missing only one or a few teeth
• Crowns, which cover the tooth and are designed to restore its original size and shape
• Veneers, which are bonded to the tooth surface to improve the appearance of discolored, worn, chipped or misaligned teeth
• Orthodontic appliances and splints used to help straighten and protect teeth

The core work of a Dental Therapist

The Dental Therapist has an important role in promoting dental health. They will treat adults and children. Dental Therapists are able to work in all sectors of dentistry including general dental practice.

A Dental therapist can carry out a range of procedures, including:

• intra and extra oral assessment
• scaling and polishing
• applying materials to teeth such as fluoride and fissure sealants
• taking dental radiographs
• providing dental health education on a one to one basis or in a group situation
• undertaking routine restorations in both deciduous and permanent teeth, on adults and children
• extracting deciduous teeth under local infiltration analgesia
• treating patients under conscious sedation provided the dentist remains in the surgery throughout the treatment.

• are dentally anxious.
• are medically compromised.
• are physically disabled.
• have high levels of untreated decay

• Successful candidates who meet the minimum cut-off marks will be invited to be screened/Interviewed by the college.

REMEDIAL STUDIES
This is intended to make up for O’level deficiencies.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates into remedial studies of the college, it is aimed at preparing candidates for automatic admission into any courses of study into the college.

Admission into the College of Health Technology Offa is automatic provided a remedial programme as follows:
