Zeribe Nwosu Foundation Scholarship 2024

This is to inform the public that the application has been announced for the Zeribe Nwosu Foundation (ZNF) 2024 undergraduate scholarship opportunity. See the application submission form for the scholarship eligibility details, application materials and timeline. Also, see the flyer for a summary of the scholarship details.

Please carefully read about the scholarship as detailed on the application form or the ZNF Scholarship page. Also feel free to contact previous recipients of the scholarship for helpful tips. After the deadline, all applications will be evaluated by the ZNS review team/volunteers. Each applicant will be scored based on the eligibility criteria, strength of his or her application materials, and the communication skills demonstrated during the interview.

Zeribe Nwosu Foundation Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • 2nd or 4th-year undergraduate students
  • Only students of public Nigerian universities, polytechnics, colleges of education
  • 2nd yr applicants: CGPA ≥ 4.0 out of 5 in one of the two semesters
  • 4th yr applicants: CGPA ≥ 3.5 out of 5 or ≥ 2.8 out of 4 for yr 1-3 results. Students studying any subject can apply.

APPLICATION MATERIALS

  • A personal statement (1 page)
  • CV (1-2 pages)
  • Admission letter and
  • 1 referee letter
  • Unofficial transcripts (year 1-3)
  • A statement of need (100-200 words)

Timeline

  • January 1 – Application opens
  • April 1 – Application closes
  • June 20 – Applicants informed about the review decision
  • July 1-20 – Interviews
  • August 1 – Announcement of the successful candidates

Award Value

  • Year 2 Students – N50,000 per recipient, Number of Awards = 10
  • Year 4 Students – N100,000 per recipient, Number of Awards = 25

Scores will be allocated as follows:

  • Fulfillment of the eligibility criteria (5%)
  • Clear attention to detail (5%)
  • Personal statement (20%)
  • CV and recommendation letter (10%)
  • Evidence of academic performance (unofficial transcripts) (25%)
  • Statement of need (10%)
  • Interview (25%)

Applicants with the highest total score will receive the award.
