The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced reopening the portal for conversion from UTME to DE (Direct Entry) for the 2023 admission process. This announcement is in response to the concerned candidates’ requests for this opportunity.
How to change JAMB UTME to DE
You can’t do this in the comfort of your house; you have to visit any of the nearest approved JAMB centers. However, the process listed below are what would be done by the operator at the center.
- Visit any JAMB office near you to get your application document converted for the 2023 admission
- Provide your Profile Code or UTME Registration Number
- Ensure you go to the registration center with your UTME registration slip, O’level results, A’level Results
- During the upgrading, you must choose two universities – 1st and 2nd choice. (In this section, most candidates choose one university for 1st and 2nd choice but select different courses, which is a good idea).
- After upgrading, wait for your information to reflect on the school portal you chose during the upgrade. It may take a week or two before it reflects. After that, you can continue with the school direct entry registration.
Kindly note that the closing date for the UTME conversion to direct entry has not been announced. So, hurry up.
