Chevening Application Tips For Applicant

On one of the videos of Chevening on their twitter page, they interviewed one of their scholars about their top chevening application tips. And the tips below were what Tinuoluwa Adelegan (Corporate communications, marketing and public relations, University of Leeds,) said:

Your application must be as sincere as possible. When it comes to the application, it’s about what you have been able to do with your time, with your skill, with your profession, and it’s very important that you are able to not just say what you have done but use examples as well. So actually mention how you have made an impact because the most important thing by the time you return, you need to go and make the difference in your country. So it’s very important that chevening sees that you are actually making impact before you apply.

From the above chevening application tips, the key points are:

  1. You must be making real impact in your country before you apply
  2. Your application must be possible
  3. Your achievements: what you done with your time, skill, and profession
  4. You must be able to give examples after you have stated your achievements
