JAMB Validity of Result For Candidates

According to the Media Director of JAMB, UTME’s validity remains 1 year and not 3 years for now. If there is a change, it will be communicated to the public.

The Board’s Head of Media, Dr Fabian Benjamin disclosed to the public after the board meeting that all issues and ones bordering on the admission process were taken into consideration.

He said that the JAMB validity is one (1) year and not three (3) years as widely speculated. However, If changes are made to the validity, he said that the board would communicate appropriately to the public.

Amongst other important information he made known to the public is the fact that candidates who have gained admissions into various institutions and are yet to register or do not have admissions by January 25 should begin to make preparations for the 2024 UTME. And the reason is that the board intends to meet up with the academic calendar as earlier agreed.

Furthermore, he noted that the UTME examinations would take place between March 9 and 17, while the mock exams would take place in the first week of February. He made it known that the sale of Direct Entry forms is ongoing while urging candidates who intend to apply to do so immediately as the sale of the DE forms ends on the same date as the UTMEs.

In his final note, he said that candidates should ensure that they disclose at the point of purchase of e-pins the exact pins they are paying for, that is, Direct Entry or UTME to avoid purchasing the wrong e-pins.
