How To Write 18, 70, And 50000 In Words

Writing numbers in words requires following some set rules. For instance, the place value of units from 1 to 9 is written as one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and nine.

Also, you must understand how to place the value of numbers before knowing how to write numbers in words effectively. For example, let’s write 100 in terms of Hundreds, Tens, and Units

Hundred Tens Units

1                0       0

So, to write 100 in words, it will be 1 (one) hundred = one hundred

Also, let’s look at 123

Hundred  Tens   Units

1                 2           3

1 (hundred) 2(tens) 3 (units) = one hundred and twenty three

Read: XXXVII, XXIX, XL,XI in roman numerals

18 in Words

Hundred Tens Units

0                1         8

This is simply eighteen. The reason why this is so is that after ten (10), the numbers from 11 to 19 are written in words as eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, and nineteen

70 in Words

Hundred Tens Units

0               7         0

In this case, we have 0(hundred) 7(tens) 0(units), which will then be seventy. This is so because, after twenty, the numbers follow the pattern so that they are written in words such as thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety, and so on.

Therefore, 70 in words is seventy.

50000 in Words

Ten-Thousand  Thousand Hundred Tens Units

5                         0                0             0       0

This is written as 5(ten-thousand) + 0(thousand) + 0(hundred) + 0(tens) + 0(units) which will then be fifty thousand.

Therefore, 50000 in words is fifty thousand.
